With the festive season becoming a vast distant memory, the month of January is approaching and this is the time we update all of our systems on our booths and mirrors… and more importantly service and maintain our fleet of printers.

What Printers Do We Use?

Here at Jellybean Photobooth, our huge fleet of printers consist mainly of our Mitsubishi Subdye printers. Our oldest in the fleet being over six years old and still going strong. We also have a number of DNP printers too to hand.

So why are Mitsubishi so well regarded in the industry? Well…

They come hand in hand with instant photo prints. Whilst Mitsubishi themselves no longer produce printers their supplies and spares will continue for the decade, and throughout the photobooth industry – they are very popular, reliable, and more importantly – consistent.

Why do we service them?

Over time and during very busy periods and through hundreds of events, naturally paper jams occur, little strips of paper end up in places they shouldn’t – and during winter months subdye printers don’t do well with condensation with humid venues and so the ink ribbons can become torn and so our printers need a good clean of the rollers, inside and aligning to ensure the prints come out perfect as per our expectation.

We do this all in house and sometimes call in a more intense expert to carry out more particular servicing; however January is the best time before the beginning of the bush 2023 season!
