Last night, as the clock struck 6:52pm, something magical happened in Sheffield, our home city. The city lit up with the glow of snowflakes on the side of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and among them was one sponsored by us here at Jellybean Photobooth.
We’ve been proud supporters of the Snowflake Campaign for the past five years, and seeing our snowflake shine bright is always a moment of pride and reflection for our entire team, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our customers, the individuals taking a cheeky selfie, our venues and of course our amazing #teamjellybean.
About the Snowflake Campaign
The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Snowflake Campaign has been lighting up the city for 20 years now, raising an incredible total of £2,934,200 to support the vital work of the hospital including funding of the new helipad on top of the hospital. This year alone, the campaign raised a whopping £434,200, thanks to the generosity of individuals and businesses across the region.
The snowflakes aren’t just decorations—they represent hope, generosity, and the unwavering community spirit of Sheffield. Each one is sponsored through fundraising efforts, and the money raised goes directly to helping the amazing team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital continue their life-changing work.
How Jellybean Supports the Snowflake Campaign
At Jellybean Photobooth, we’re all about making memories and spreading joy, so supporting the Snowflake Campaign feels like a perfect fit. Over the past five years, we’ve raised thousands of pounds for this incredible cause, and it’s all thanks to the generosity of the guests at our bookings.
Every time someone requests a reprint of their photo at one of our events, we charge just £1, and that pound goes straight to the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity. It might seem like a small amount, but it all adds up to make a big difference.
We even bring a little extra joy to each booking with a Theo Bear mascot, reminding everyone of the amazing cause their donations are supporting.
Magic Mirror Memories at the Light Switch-On
To celebrate this year’s Snowflake Campaign, we were honoured to donate one of our Magic Mirrors for the light switch-on event yesterday. Guests at the event were able to take fun photos and leave with a print to remember the special evening. It was a moment for those amazing individuals to take away a photo in memory of their great efforts and contribution to what is a truly live changing organisation and cause.
The switch-on took place at the Octagon Centre at the University of Sheffield, with a fantastic presentation that showcased the incredible impact of the campaign, with a beautiful choir on stage, and some amazing stories shared by Tchad an the team. It was even covered live on BBC Look North, shining a light on the amazing work of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
A Moment to Remember
Members of our team were there last night to watch as our snowflake lit up the hospital at 6:52pm with a coffee in hand, a proud moment for everyone at Jellybean. Knowing that our small contribution is helping to make a difference in the lives of children and families is truly humbling.
