Ye Olde Bell sits in the village of Barnby Moor, just outside Retford, surrounded by Nottinghamshire countryside but only a few minutes from the A1. It’s one of those venues that has genuine history rather than simply trying to look traditional – the hotel dates back to the 17th century – and today mixes that old-world character with much more contemporary interiors, a luxury spa and individually styled rooms. The result is polished without feeling too formal, with plenty of personality running through the place.
For weddings, that mixture works particularly well once the evening gets going. Magic Mirror and Photobooth Hire at Ye Olde Bell adds something fun without looking out of place in the surroundings, and it gives guests a completely different bit of the evening to get involved with between trips to the bar and the dance floor. We can personalise the prints and screens around your wedding styling too, so even though the props inevitably get sillier as the night goes on, the actual setup still looks like it belongs at Ye Olde Bell.
We recommend setting up your Photo Booth or magic mirror in the first room where the bar is, on the right hand side near the window. This provides ample space for guests to engage with the magic mirror or Photo Booth, and leaves plenty of space in the back of the room for your tables and guests.

Absolutely. All of our hires include fully personalised prints, screen animation, online gallery and even the guestbook. We also have many customers and couples add the venue image / sketch / illustration from their stationery to their prints too. Check out our print gallery for examples of how we do this.
All of our documents including PAT testing, public liability, risk assessments and employers liability are all available on the “important documents” section in the menu above. Most venues including this one will have received our documents before. However if you are unsure please contact a member of our team. We automatically send the most up to date documents across to your venue 4 weeks before your booking.
All of our standard packages include unlimited visits during your hire, instant personalised prints, your choice of backdrop, props, personalised screen animations, an online gallery and Team Jellybean attendants to look after everything throughout the evening. If you have booked one of our digital only unmanned hires through SelfieCo, these include digital downloads instantly, and full support throughout the hire through our live chat and monitoring service.
