Why We Don’t Chase You After a Wedding Fayre

If you’ve ever visited a wedding fayre and that is very likely if you are getting married in 2026 and 2027… you’ll know how full on it can feel.

You walk in excited and ready. You leave with tote bags, flyers, and sometimes emails landing in your inbox before you’ve even got home. Planning a wedding is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming very quickly. That’s exactly why we do things differently. Working in the wedding industry for almost ten years, we’ve flipped a lot of it on it’s head and we genuinely look at some of the “old fashioned” ways our competitors try and get you. Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and you don’t want to be bombarded at every opportunity.

We Don’t Collect Your Details

When you chat to us at a wedding fayre, we don’t ask for your email address. We don’t scan badges. We don’t enter you into competitions just to build a mailing list.

We simply have a conversation (it might lead to a long queue to speak to us but thats fine!)

We ask about your day. We ask about your venue. We ask what kind of atmosphere you want in the evening. Then we show you what we do.

If you love it (which I am sure you do), then brilliant.
If you want to think about it, that’s also fine! It might be the first time, but also the 20th time you’ve seen us at a fayre – but it is more important than ever to go away, look at your options.

We believe you should contact us when you’re ready, not because you’ve had three follow up emails and a “last chance” offer. We also don’t scare you with “dates running out fast” or “book now to avoid disappointment”. You should NEVER BOOK A WEDDING COMPANY on the back of FOMO!

Weddings Are Overwhelming Enough

There’s already enough to organise. Venues, dresses, suits, catering, seating plans, guest lists. The last thing couples need is to feel chased, with an inbox full of the same thing. (And if you are like me with a hotmail account from the 90’s, you will know the storage isn’t big enough as it is!)

Some companies rely heavily on lead generation. Some build detailed funnels. Some install clever tools on theire website to capture your data the second you visit their website.

If that works for them, fair enough. It’s just not how we operate. And being Yorkshire’s largest and most recognised booth supplier, we believe in following our values and supporting you to ensure you book exactly what you want.

Conversations First, Sales Second

When you speak to #TeamJellybean at a fayre, we aren’t working through a script. We aren’t trying to close you on the spot. We know many in the industry that shout about getting 10 bookings at a fayre. Well Done!

We genuinely enjoy chatting about weddings. We like hearing how you met. We like finding out which venue you’ve chosen. We like talking about how your evening is going to feel. And that continues even away from the fayre. More often now couples actually come to our office to spend an hour with us going through the options in a relaxed atmosphere without the hassle.

That’s why couples often say we don’t feel “salesy”.

Because we aren’t.

If we’re right for your day, you’ll know. If we’re not, that’s fine too.

Being Recognised Matters

We’re proud to be one of the most recognised photo booth companies in Yorkshire. We’re at venues week in, week out. We’re at the big shows and the smaller local fayres. We invest massively on getting our magic mirrors, selfie pods and booths in-front of you. So why on earth do we need further lead generation?

Couples see us more than once. They remember the #JellybeanPink. They remember our crazy and sometimes camp energy. They remember the team which we are truly proud of (and is certainly our USP).

So we don’t need to chase. We’d rather you come back to us when you’re ready to book, knowing you’ve made that decision comfortably.

Why This Works for Us

Not every couple books on the day. Not every couple books the week after. Some watch from a distance. Some follow on social media. Some see us again at another venue.

We believe trust builds naturally. We believe pressure does the opposite. For some suppliers, lead generation is everything. For us, reputation is everything.

When you book Jellybean, it’s because you wanted us there. Not because we filled your inbox.
